I see Traveling Nursing CNA and Traveling Behavioral Tech positions every so often. If they had a National Certification would greatly help things. I'm a Traveling RN and my wife Travels with me and works as a CNA or Behavioral Tech. One option is to Travel and work per diem in block book assignments or convince the company to contract with you as fas as having a start and end date which would make you a Traveler and give you the tax benefits if you have a Permanent Tax Home (See www.TravelTax.com ). Another option is seasonal contracts for example a CNA at Lower Keys Medical Center can make $15/hr without benefits. May even try independent contracts in private duty and travel then you can get even more tax breaks operating as your own business.
