Hello everyone, its grand to come into the forum and read all the stories. I am not a nurse as yet, this is my desire as I hope to be in college by Spring to get started on a new career and I beleive nursing is my call. I have been looking into this for sometime, my daughter is the unit secretary at the hospital she is employed by and they do have people come in once a week and work under the nurses in order to learn and to take some of the weight off the nurses so the nurse can focus on other important task to manage. When I was younger I worked in a nursing home and I enjoyed caring for the elderly without question, lots of physical work and patience is key, so my hope is to avail in my new quest for this particualr career. This has not been my employment for the last 23 years but my children are gone and its time to make a move. Hey thanks everyone, looking forward to it, I have lots of questions.

Hey Cat, no I have not, so much has happened this year and unless I can get on my feet finanacially it may be held up a bit longer than that to enter college, boy I sure hope not.. I am not getting any younger. I have been on line studying a bit, just to take a possible test for nursing, I want this very badly, I work best with people and caring for them.
