New to the board

HI All! I am new to the site, and wasn't sure where to post an introduction, so I figured I'd start here....I am a new LPN; almost a year now! YAY! I work nights on med/surg in a smaller rural hospital--24 beds--and I love this job so far.
I'm a wife to a great guy for almost 21 years, mom of three (20g, 13g, and 10b), have 2 dogs, and live in just about the middle of the US.
The site looks great, I have lots to read, then I'll jump in somewhere. Hope to meet lots of you!
Julia

Hello Julia,

Welcome to the board and to Nursing. Sounds like you're enjoying your first year and that's a great thing.

Re: New to the board

Hi, I am glad to find this board. I'm an RN for 11years now and presently working on my BSN. My program can be converted to RN-MSN if I indicate. I am undecided at this time. I did take the MAT (which is required or the GRE) just to see how well I would do. At present, I could get into it. We'll see how this goes. I'll be finished with the BSN this time next year. The advantage to indicating now is that courses in my last semester would count towards my Master's. I will recommend this site to more of my colleagues.
