Hello, my name is Cary James Barrett [D.O.B. 4/12/61]. I have been in the healthcare field for over 10 years; AAS in Surgical Technology 1995, AAS in Nursing 1998, and BSN 2004. I have worked in the OR, Tele Ward, and ICU. Currently, work in ICU-E at Madigan Army Medical Center, FT Lewis, WA.


I accepted direct commission in the Reserve Army Nurse Corps in August 2003, and this past March accepted direct commission into the Active Component. Presently, on an active duty three year committment at Madigan Army Medical Center. However, at any time I can be assigned to a Combat Support Hospital that is being mobilized for deployment to Iraq, or other OCONUS assignment, usually for 12 months boots-on-the-ground. I have prior service time [USMC 1980-1988], so I'll stay active duty for another nine years after this three year committment to complete 20 for retirement.


I have a beautiful wife, that is also an RN [+13 yrs]. Our "kids" are all in their mid-20's. You can visit my website for more pics of me, my family, and our sports cars.

My hobbys are weight training/physical fitness and the martial arts, specifically aikijujitsu. I have also studied Uechi-Ryu Karate [4yrs], a little Judo, a little Tae Kwon Do, and a little Kung Fu.

I'm supremely jealous of your car, but one day I too will sit in the driver's seat of the All American Sports Car. I have been saying that since I was 16.

I may be a bit late in typing this, but thanks for starting off the Forum!

We may be at odds, though. I drive 'the OTHER All American Car".....you guessed it....a Ford.
