Smile LPN or RN

Hello All! I am about 5 months away from obtaining my AD in allied health/pre nursing track. I'm currently debating on going for a LPN program or RN program, any thoughts?

Wink Re: LPN or RN

If you can get accepted to an RN program first, then you should go that route for greater career opportunities. But if you miss out on a lottery or the waiting list is too long, then you might want to consider going the LPN route. You can work as an LPN while you are in the RN program, or use your LPN license to get into an LPN to RN bridge program. Oh, and welcome to the site!

WELCOME!

"...my AD in allied health/pre nursing track." What are you talking about?

Definitely, go RN first, preferably BSN. Otherwise, you will end reaching BSN in chunks, or at least wished you had done straight away in the beginning.
