Hi from Washington State

Hello all,

My name is Edith and I am a fairly new nurse, I graduated in March of this year as an LPN. I have a wonderful job at a nursing home that is very nice and great to their residents. I work in the sub acute portion and float to other wings of the facility. I am now an officially enrolled student in Excelsior College for my RN degree. That is actually the reason I joined this forum, I am hoping to network with other excelsior students and maybe exchange books, ideas, or frustrations... I am sure there will be some, there was plenty in my other nursing program. My best friend from nursing school will soon be joining me as an excelsior student. I am a mom of 4 daughters and am married to my husband of 14 years. I look forward to meeting all of the other professionals here and exchanging thoughts and ideas.

Re: Hi from Washington State

Welcome Edith!

I sure wish I was in the Puget Sound area, right now. My duty station is Madigan Army Medical Center [MAMC], FT Lewis. However, presently deployed to Iraq for 15 months. My wife is a GS-10 nurse at MAMC.

Again, welcome aboard.

Hi, Edith! Glad to have you with us. I did the LPN to RN bit, but went to a 'brick and mortar' school.

I hope you drop by and post as often as you can. Why not have your friend drop on by as well?
