Cool Hi from sunny S.A

Hi there I'm Jess I'm about to qualify as a staff nurse, will get my results in a couple of weeks, I'm from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I Spend most of my time working in the ER and love it, but I would also like to specialise in NICU.

Welcome to the site, and good luck on your results! I hope you keep us posted.

How close to Bloemfontein are you?

Question Re: Hi from sunny S.A

Oh I see, lets just say he couldnt have gotten much inspiration from there.
Just wondering how the system in the us differs from ours here in SA. What are the differances between a RN and a staff nurse and generally how do your wards work? 12 hour shifts or 6?what are the patient to nures ratios like?
