Wink Hi from NC

Hello everyone,
I am thinking of traveling in the near future and would love any advice on how to get started. This new venture reminds me of when I was a new grad!!
Thank you,
Karen

Hi Karen from NC, I have been traveling for 5 yrs. The 1st thing you need to do is research compaines and decide what is most important to you. Location, housing, money and then decide what company fits your style. Just be careful.

Re: Hi form NC

Hi Happycamper,

Thanks for your reply. I have looked into a few companies, and I've read alot of threads from this forum, I just don't know what else to ask, or pick up on if I am being screwed. I really not sure about leaving a "stable" hospital job for one that I might make the same hourly rate or even less. How will I know if I truly will be making the pay the companies offer. I've seen posts where some companies subtract housing, or pay x amount of dollars for medical insurance...I thought these were paid benefits to the employee. This is the part where I don't know about. What do you think about RN Network, Advantage RN, or Trinity Healthcare Stafffing?

I guess it is the fear of the unknown as well as a few postings of other's horror stories... I have done some research, but concerns and questions remain.

I just want to have fun, do a great job, and feel I made a difference to someone I might meet that day. I am ready for a change in nursing. iguess I need to just do it. Please offer any tips of advice on anything you think will help me...

Thank you so much for your advice,
Karen
