| Just been browsing around at some of the topics on the site getting aquainted with things. I've been a RN for a year now & a LPN for 9 years prior to that. Most of my experience is in rehab setting & longterm care of geriatric clientel. Looking to start my career in the hospital I had a brief go round (5 months) in one. Didnt go so great wasnt a very supportive environment for the new guy if you know what I mean but I'm still looking. I love the idea of traveling though that would be very hard at this time as I have a 11 yr old daughter so I'm looking to get my experience in a teaching hospital. There is so much about nursing that I love. The continuous learning even dealing with the crazys I get a kick out a crazies. Looking forward to becoming part of the nursing community here at this site |

| Re: hi everyone I'm interested in broadening my horizons & experiencing something different in nursing outside rehab setting. I really would like to have the year of medsurg under my belt before stepping into cardiology I love the heart it's amazing someday I would like to work in CCU & obtain my certification. But I do believe med surg would be the place to start. |
