| Hi everybody I'm Ruan, i'm from Viet Nam. Now i have just graduated from Medical university. I'm a clinical doctor. My friend say that, i can come to USA to work as PA. But, i don't understand much about PA's job. And what's different between PA and nurse? Can u explain, pls? In addition, are there any chance for me to work as PA in USA as my friend said. Nice to see all of u! |

Mood:  |  Re: Hi everybody  Welcome to the site. PA works under the license of a doctor while a nurse works under their own license though they may work under a doctor's direction. The Nurse Practitioner role is roughly similar to that of a PA. Each has their own education system. In some states, Nurse Practitioners can obtain prescriptive authority. You might want to try an internet search to get a more comprehensive comparison. Hope to see you post here often. |
