Hi everybody

I'm Ruan, i'm from Viet Nam. Now i have just graduated from Medical university. I'm a clinical doctor. My friend say that, i can come to USA to work as PA. But, i don't understand much about PA's job. And what's different between PA and nurse? Can u explain, pls? In addition, are there any chance for me to work as PA in USA as my friend said.
Nice to see all of u!

Cool Re: Hi everybody

Welcome to the site. PA works under the license of a doctor while a nurse works under their own license though they may work under a doctor's direction. The Nurse Practitioner role is roughly similar to that of a PA. Each has their own education system. In some states, Nurse Practitioners can obtain prescriptive authority. You might want to try an internet search to get a more comprehensive comparison. Hope to see you post here often.

Hello Ruan,

You would need to have your medical degree evaluated to see what type of license you could receive in the USA.

Visit:
