| Hi everybody ! Hello. I am a pre-nursing student. I will start the program in June once they realize I am a worthy student. I am male and I would like any suggestions and feedback on surviving nursing school as a new student, and as a 41 yr old male. I am looking forward to the challenge but I am a little nervous. My wife is very supportive. I also have a great canine friend named Calika to keep me company while I study. I look forward to reading your posts. Thank you. ![]() |

Studying will take up alot of time, so plan for that. Also, knowing when to take breaks is important. Plus, you have us here at the Forum, too.Good luck! 'Cat'

Then, at the age of 36 started ADN program and successfully completed same two years later while working full-time as a Certified Surg Tech [A.K.A. Scrub Tech], and raising my two sons as a single parent. Six years later I completed an RN-BSN program, again while working full-time [as an ADN]. I recently completed a very intense 14 week critical care nursing course... at the age of 45. Education knows no age boundaries! Good luck & please visit the Male Nursing Forum, too. |
