Ah, yes......the good ol' school blues; there will be days like that, but you'll look back with (hopefully!) fondness.

Hi everyone..!
This is my first post here & I wanted to say hello before I went on any further.
I am almost 21 years old, I have had a career path from doing skin care/ makeup and now I am almost done with my 1st term of LVN schooling. I am hoping to graduate and pass my NCLEX. I also plan to go on with my RN later on.
I go to a private college so I will be finished in October of 2008! :houra:
It's been pretty intense so far but I have learned to enjoy school..even when I have bad days.
Just 2 weekends ago, I went home crying b/c during skills lab my teacher yelled at me in front of the whole class because I didn't know how to make a miter (I truly couldn't figure it out..plus she had a strong accent!)in the process of bed making. I "recycled" 5 times then did it correctly the last 2 tries but she still gave me a hard time.![]()
Well, last weekend, we learned how to do foleys with the whole strerile technique and all...and out of a group of 25 people, only 4 got it done correctly on the first try and I was one of them! :houra: ( We practiced on dummies. He he )
I was so nervous that I was shaking the whole time. After I got it done, my teacher gave me a pleased smile.
I jokingly said to my classmates, " Hah, I can't make a bed but I sure can insert a foley!!!!!!!!" :lmao: :hurray:

Welcome to the forum Ticklemethu and for nursing school you just have to "hang in there" and not give up. I went to nursing school a few.....well many, years ago and I still remember it well.......you will have good days and bad days but soon they will be behind you.......When I was in nursing school more students quit than failed......they put pressure on you to see if you can handle it.....believe you me you will have pressure when your a nurse......:luck:
THANK YOU everyone for your kind words & welcome!
