Medscape has CEU's, also. You join the site, of course, but there is sooo much there. They even have links to a Wound Care Journal or two.
You do know Illinois is gearing toward Continuing Ed. soon, eh?

Anyone know of sites on the internet where you can earn free CE credits?
So far I've found Healthpoint and Medline both have online programs. The Healthpoint one is all free... the medline one allows you to take 3 courses for free as a sample.
I'm a new wound care nurse and looking to cover my own butt by not only learning as much as I can, but also having some sort of proof that I've made efforts to keep on top of current trends. Collecting certificates for CE credits at least can show my efforts, but I really can't afford to pay for many of them. These free ones have been great and I've learned SO MUCH!

My DON said something about IL probably requiring CEUs before long. I'm all for it, with one exception... I can't afford to pay for them! I love reading up and getting the information. My favorite are the internet ones that are interactive or videos.
Our former Wound Care Nurse, who is CWOCN came in last week. She praised me for how much I knew and told me the questions I was asking were difficult even for her to answer which showed that I really knew what I was talking about to be able to come up with such questions. It was a great feeling.

I know there is a seminar in Glen Ellyn in early May.....I'll PM the info to ya IF I find it!
