Hello everyone I am new from Tennessee

I am very interested in travel nursing and would like to find all of the ins and outs for travel nursing before I quit a job I have been at for 13 1/2 years. I amd a labor and delivery nurse and have PP and Nursery experience. I have a family including 3 children. My oldest is 16. I want to do travel nursing PT until she graduates then FT with my 11 and 6 yr old. I plan to homeschool them. My oldest has a straight A average at a competitive school so I don't want to disrupt her. We hope she will get a full scholarship somewhere. I told her wherever she goes we can visit while I travel.

I recently saw an ad for Nationwide Nurses. Their homebase is in Ark. so it is close to "home". They have an ad for 35,000 in 13 weeks. They are JACCHO approved. Has anyone heard of them? I called and a New recruiter with the company said you make this working 3 12hr shifts one week and 4 the next. She said you could do this "PT" so I could do it this summer and another contract later when I wanted to. I thought I could do a 13 week every summer and then a 13 week closer to home until my oldest graduates and I would still make more than I make all year. Anyway let me know what anyone thinks about this.

I have wanted to travel since I was in nursing school. It is scary to jump into the "unknown" so I am glad I have found this forum. Thanks for all the input!!

Welcome to the site, Ginger! I don't travel, but you sound like you're doing your homework. Perhaps there is a post in the Travel Nurse Forum about NationWide Nurses.

I've been at my job for a little over 7 years.....'traveled' a bit too many times doing Agency, and love being a 'regular' right now.

Hope to see you on the board often!
