Wow - I have to say I am so impressed with this site. I am enjoying all the ins and outs and advice that is being given out. So thank you all for that. Now a little bit about me - I recently took the NET (and passed), am in my last pre-req and just turned in my completed provisional application today. I've been working at this for 5 yrs. My husband's job has moved us around a bit but we are finally at a spot where I can focus on the nursing program. I've applied at the community college here in Scottsdale, AZ. They told me that there is a 2 to 3 semester wait and to be honest - I'm ok with that. I've waited this long and have no problem waiting a little bit longer. It'll be so worth it. I'm 36 and nervous about getting in and getting started but mainly getting through it. I know it's very competitive out there, but everyone on here seems to love what they do and that makes it even more desirable. I've got a forensic background - autopsy tech so I'm not squeamish at all. I'm rather excited to get my hands dirty - so to say. Anyway - I'm just glad to have a place to learn tips and hear stories - please feel free to share both. They will be greatly appreciated.

I hope you drop by often and share your stories, also. Who knows? Maybe you'll get into the core classes earlier than you expect?! The local C. C. here uses the Lottery system for their classes. :rolleyes:

When I lived in Seattle, their CC also had a lottery system. I think the Phoenix CCs are on a first come first served basis - I'm fine either way as long as I get in. Thank you so much for the welcome. I see your name all over the site and feel that you are an excellent resource. I like your responses. They are friendly and welcoming as well as very informative. I'll definitely be sharing my stores.
