| First Time This is the first time I've been on your forum and my first message. I would appreciate some advice about returning to nursing. After 15 years away from the field, I decided to go back to the field. Reason? Changes on the home front. ![]() I just completed a state approved RN refresher course and sent my resumes to local hospitals and home health agencies. It's been ~ a week and I've only heard from agencies asking if I want to move to New Mexico.(I do not want to leave my state.) Any suggestions about how I should go about my job search? I graduated from nursing school in 1973. Thank you. |

| I live in New Jersey and I told the agencies that I did not want to travel. However I was a little surprised that none of the local hospitals, clinics and home care agencies responded to my resumes. Since then, I accepted a position at a long term care facilty. I'm excited about getting back into nursing - also about finally making some money. |
