    Help Us Save a Life....

    Help us save a life...

Samantha is just like you or me. She is young, has a family, and so very much to look forward to. She has a 5 year old precious little girl...who may have to grow up without her mommy!

At age 37 Samantha Denmark was a healthy, hard working, fun loving wife and mother of 3 year old Brooke living in Callahan, Florida. In September 2002 everything changes when Samantha suffered an unexpected severe heart attack resulting in irreversible damage to the heart. The heart attack produced severe heart failures and weakened her heart where she now requires the life-saving miracle of a heart transplant.

Re: Help Us Save a Life....

Although I am a few years older than Samantha Denmark, I am in the same boat. I am 52 years old. Until June of this year I had spent the past 21 years as a hard working nurse. I suffered a severe heart attack on June 24, 2004 and had quadruple bypass surgery on June 29, 2004. I was doing great for a while, then my energy level started to drop and I started having chest pains again and had to go back on Nitro 3 times a day. I had another cardiac cath on Thursday, September 23, 2004. Three out of four grafts have failed and I am not a candidate for redo or angioplasty. My only alternative now is transplant. I too have a family who needs me. Please remember my family and myself in your prayers.

    Thanks,

    Liz Atkinson, RN

    Hi lizabeth901...

I am active in my Church community, and in a few support groups... you are now on our prayer list.

    God bless.

P.S. If you have any pictures, send them to me... I will add your story to our 'Help Save a Life' page.
