Yale - New Haven ?

Has anyone worked at Yale - New Haven Hospital before? Was wondering how the experience was. My wife and I are both travelers and have been submitted there. We have also contacted the nurse managers of the units several times with no reply. This doesnt sit well with us, as this is very unprofessional. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Re: Yale - New Haven ?

I am currently doing a 13 week contract at Yale on oncology. It also took quite a long time to get to speak with any of the nurse managers there. I never did find out why that was. Once I did get someone, things moved along quite quickly. I'm about halfway through the contract and so far so good. I had expected the worst considering the large completion bonuses they offered. I ended up having my recruiter call and get me in touch with the people I needed to talk to.

Thumbs down Re: Yale - New Haven ?

Thanks for replying. All things have gone south since my original post. My wife and I had been over 3 weeks trying to just get a return phone call from the nurse managers, never happened. My wife finally got in contact with the nurse manager of L&D and she acted totally surprised, said she had not even seen her profile information and better yet they didnt have any L&D needs at the time, even though we were assured by our recruiter(s) that there were needs. So we wasted our time for nothing at all. Our recruiters tried to say it was in no way a communication problem and tried to imply that it was our fault for not going with a plan B. But we had submitted to a couple other facilities already and they encouraged us to keep waiting on Yale. So with that said, we are firing our recruiter(s) with Cross Country.
