Do any of the travel companies do Homecare or LTC assignments? I am looking for something in Florida preferably on the lower west coast. I have not worked in hospital since 1992 & I am not opposed to working on a med surg floor but I don't believe the orientation they give would be adequate after so many years. I have done home health nursing for 7 years. We do alot of acute patients given the short hospital stays insurances are regulating. It's almost scary at times. Any information out there?
We are trying to fill a travel position at a LTC facility in San Francisco and they have specifically asked for a med surg nurse or at the very least an LPN. I think this might be a good place for you to start back in, especially if you're willing to travel to San Francisco for a short-term assignment.
