    permanent jobs

Please help me. I'm trying to find a permanent full time job. Are there any really good websites that cater specifically to a nurse looking for a permanent job. I am willing to relocate, but don't want to work a travel assignment. There are so many website for travel nurses. What about us homebodies?!

I don't know about specific websites but do you know where you want to live? If you have an area in mind then do a search for that city and their newspaper then check out those help wanted ads. You could also check out the hospitals in the area you want to be many have their own websites. Or go to a larger bookstore on Monday/Tuesday they have newspapers from many larger cities or check the library for those papers. Many states also have hospital associations then you can place one application for the state and they will pass it on to hospitals in the association.

The newspapers are a great idea.
Do you belong to any professional org? They almost always have ads out there for full-time positions.

Also what about the job fairs? Take resumes with you as most will hire on the spot, or at least set up interviews.

If a medical library is avaliable, try the professional journals. They all have ads also...
    Hope this helps.

Oh, for a new license, in a different state, just contact the nursing board via the internet to find out the way to obtain a new license.
