Trouble Finding Jobs?

Things are not the same as they used to be for us travel nurses. Pay and jobs available have both decreased. The good news is that there are still jobs. I have been working with my company for the past 3 years and have not been jobless. The only thing is that now I am not finding out about my next job until 2-3 weeks before my current assignment ends. If any of you are having problems finding a job, call Brian at RN Network. He is my recruiter and is one of a kind.

Re: Trouble Finding Jobs?

I just had an interview for travel nurse in Ct. and I feel forced to take it just to keep myself employed and it's 8 hour shifts which I hate. But I asked if I could do 32 hours and they are going to let me know.
This is the 1st call I've had since my last job ended in mid April..and I applied for about 5 positions-

ICU, CVOR has alot of needs that I see. I'm med surg tele and very few jobs.

Re: Trouble Finding Jobs?

Well yeah jobs are still available if you're an ICU or ER nurse.... like I've said in my other post ("recession affecting our jobs") other specialties are not so lucky.

I just feel sorry for all these new grads who now can't find jobs. One of my friends who graduated this spring said only 20% of her class has jobs lined up.
