Traveling jobs on the East Coast

Hi everyone:

I am about to complete a thirteen week assignment in Austin and I am looking for something new. The company that set me up with this job was Universal Nurse Staffing Services and they are small, took great care of me but I might be interested in a position outside of the places they have jobs. They have a lot of jobs in TX, CA and FL but nothing on the east coast. Can anyone suggest a good company to work with. I prefer the smaller companies because my experience with them is that they are a little more personal than the larger travel firms of the world.

Possible destinations I would be interested in are North Carolina, New England, New York or several other places on the eastern seaboard. Please let me know if you know of any good recruiters or firms to work with and please email me at usa_travelin_nurse@yahoo.com.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: Traveling jobs on the East Coast

I finished an assignment in New Bern, NC April/07 to go home and work for 13 weeks in MT. I am trying to get back to NC, NOT New Bern, for at least 8 weeks. Things are looking up but I am talking to a few different agencies. They all know I am not relying just on them. Good luck to you. I love the Carolinas and plan to go to New England once I don't need to be anywhere for my family.

New England is a great place to work and sight see. Did you ever find a job in this area?

Re: Traveling jobs on the East Coast

I'm originally from New England and it's a beautiful place- full of history. In the winter many of the villages look like they should be in a snow globe or on a greeting card. I've only worked as a nurse in NY, though. Nothing here I'd travel across the country for... unless you like big game hunting .
