| traveling to hawaii with kids Anyone gone to Hawaii as a traveler with kids? I have a ten year old and a live in babysitter. One agency told me Hawaii wasn't a good place for kids. Any thoughts, suggestions? |

| Re: traveling to hawaii with kids Wow! I'll have to check on that myself. I haven't traveled yet however am planning on starting Jan 2006. One place I would like to go to is Hawaii and I would be taking my 14 yr old daughter along with me. She would be doing her schooling on computer as PA has Cyber Charter Schools. I thought this would be a great way to see our country and share these experiences. I have traveled B.C. "before children" to 46 US states and 8 provinces in Canada. The call of the wild is screaming in my ears!!! I have seen several travel opportunities for psych nursing. when I check with various recruiters, I'll be sure to ask about the "kid safety" issue. | Re: traveling to hawaii with kids I posted in a couple of forums and got a variety of responses. From the answers I recieved - I guess the worst thing about HI for kids were the school system and that they would be picked on due to skin color if they were white. No one really stated there were safety issues - the agency in question does not like to use travelers with children. Good luck |
