I am also new to the site and checking things out. I almost signed with Intelistaff, but did not based on several factors. After much research and a few per diem contracts, I have decided on Aureus Medical Group for many great reasons. I feel well-respected as a professional nurse and human being. My recruiter, Kerrie, is awesome and is readily available for any concerns. She does a wonderful job keeping me informed and keeps my interests in heart when looking at assignments. Traveling with Aureus has been an exceptional experience and I had no idea that others have had such aweful experiences. Thanks for sharing these. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Aureus.

I believe this topic has been discussed before. I believe legally they can not with hold your paycheck. They may be able to file a suit but they can't withhold pay due to you. From what I have read this is usually resoved by calling the labor board and filing a complaint and following up. Please copy and paste your post in the review section of companies. Let me know if you can't find it.

OK I have no contact with this company but have had my share of problems with various other companies. Suggestion for all travelers, have a PrePaid Legal Plan.

Thank you for the warning... I have never traveled before and was just about to submit my application and resume to the Intelistaf branch in Andover,MA. I think I will look elsewhere after reading all of the posts. The information is valuable..

Does anyone know anything about American Mobile Healthcare? I have a recruiter that keeps calling me. Their approach is a little "aggressive" (multiple calls daily), so I am a little skeptical.

MedStaff is also another company I am looking into as well. Any info would be extemely helpful.

1. File a complaint with the labor commission in the city you worked in
2. Take them to small claims court
3. WE ALL CAN GET TOGETHER
And file a class action suit.
I didn't know how many nurses were experiencing this.
I my self have filed against On Assignment, in LA county
labor commission, the mtg is soon

If you are having problems with this company don't go there anymore it's not worth it. There's actually a lot of good small to mid size travel agency that pays good and would treat you like a family. Got an assignment with American mobile,
1. pay is low
2. They advertise move in ready apartments,
But don't tell you that there no dishes, pots,
Linens, blankets, towels, etc
3. They don't tell you hrs or not guaranteed
4. If you don't get all the hrs submitted that were
Worked, it is your problem
you get paid less then the full time staff

Thanks, everyone! I will definitely steer clear and refer my fellow travelers to this forum. These companies think they can do as they please because they have so much of a monopoly on the field, but news does travel fast; especially bad news. I have been done VERY dirty by Independent Nursing Services (their boss also called me a liar, in spite the fact that I had emails to prove otherwise) and another company whose name I have chosen to forget. Recruiter's name was Ted Maravelius or something like that. They cheated me on pay, travel and housing, not to mention sending me on a dangerous assignment. We all need to stick together and speak out against these crooks!

I have worked with Intelistaf as well before and had nothing but problems!!!! Everything from my pay to housing was messed up. That is a problem with these big compaines we work hard to make there money and they walk all over us. I have found a good company and I am staying with them. I don't feel like just another one of there nurses. I am treated with the respect that I deserve. Advantage RN has been a great company the whole time that I have been with them. They are about the only ones that I trust anymore!!!
