hey i'm a guy nurse lookin to start traveling to the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area in January. I am basically trying to get some information on travel companies and which ones are used most in the area and which have the most promise of extending contracts. also which companies pay the most and offer private housing?? i'd really appreciate some help on the matter. thanks alot

It really varies depending on a lot of factors. Most companies offer private housing though they might try to get you into shared housing. Extending your contract is usually up to you and the hospital. If you do a good job, and the hospital still has a need, they'll likely ask you to extend.

If you go to our Travel Nursing Info page you can request information from the Travel Nursing Companies who sponsor this site and see who has assignments in that area in North Carolina.

Also, you can add your resume to the jobs section, and it is 100% anonymous. Companies may contact you via the site with job opportunities but until you allow them to see your contact info, they will only be able to contact you via the jobs interface. This keeps you from being flooded with calls and mail from every company or companies you don't desire to hear from.

Also, you can create a Job Agent using the criteria you prefer for a nursing job so that when a Travel Nursing assignment comes up that you might be interested in, you recieve an email letting you know about it.
