Travel Curious Nurse looking for info...

I am a fairly experienced ICU nurse (about 4 yrs) looking to start traveling. I've already done a lot of research over the past few months and have gotten some very valuable info from this site. I had heard a rumor about some interesting prospects for travel in Alaska and was wondering if anyone out there has ever traveled there, and if so, what information can you give me about the travel opportunities there, housing, best agencies to travel with, salaries you might have heard about. Basically, any information would be helpful!

Re: Travel Curious Nurse looking for info...

Hello, I work for Trustaff, Inc. We staff in 36 of the 50 states. We offer both a Tax Advantage Plan and an All-Inclusive Pay Plan. Companies now have the ability to offer these types of pay plans so you may want to look into that. If you want info on our company the easiest way is on the web. www.trustaff.com will give you info on us and some of the assignments that we have open. You can also apply online if you would be interested after checking us out. From what I have heard and seen from other travelers the one major thing to do is look around. I know there are many companies that offer many different options so definitely explore your options. Good luck on your search,
Steve Schlegel

WanderingRN again. If you read the post carefully you will see that I am not saying that the Tax Advantage Plan is new. I say that it is now available, and it is, so I was accurate thank you.I was replying to a new person and just trying to let them know what was out there. Your personal attacks on me are becoming amusing. You seem to be trying to help fellow nurses so why not let her know about the tax advantage plan. You know alot about it, your info would help her, but instead you attack me.

TruTravel...

not attacking you or anything, but you really should not be posting in the general conversations...

there is a specific forum entitled "Nurse Recruiters talk to Nurses" and that is where you should be making your posts...

the rest of the forums are supposed to be "nurse to nurse..."

thanks for understanding...

Nurse Recruiters Not allowed!!! No Posts or Replies by Staffing Companies or their Representatives whatsoever.

That is CLEARLY listed in the forum description. If you cannot comply, you will be banned from all of the sites in the network. This is not the first time I have had to delete readylink spam from you. Please do not continue to post links to readylink.

Smile Hello! New traveler about to get started :)

Hi, I am an ICU nurse in TN looking to start travelling in July or August. The unit where I work now has always been so grateful for help and has been friendly and fair to travelers, hopefull I will have the same experience. The reviews of the companies have been very helpful and have given me lots of questions to ask when I talk to a recruiter. Can anyone tell me about American Mobile or Cross Country? I am feeling overwhelmed with all of the agencies out there, any recommendations from those who have been happy with theirs? Thanks so much, glad I joined!

I have never worked with American Mobile or Cross Country, I have been traveling with RN Network for over a year, and am very happy with them. PM me if you'd like my recruiter's info or if you have any specific questions about them.
