Thinking of traveling, 2 assignments simultaneously

Is it possible to take 2 assignments at once to maximize $$$. I would like to take an assignment in Califonia. If anyone has any input, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Thinking of traveling

Well, most assignments are for at least 36 hours per week, and won't be willing to work around your schedule at another job, so it would be tricky.....

Also, I see in another post that you are still in school. You will need at LEAST 1-2 years of experience as an RN before traveling. Your experience as a surgical tech, while very valuable, will not count as "nursing experience" when it comes to travel companies and facilities. So after you graduate, you will need to work as an RN in your chosen specialty for 1-2 years before traveling.....

It would be hard because most facilities like you to be "flexible" with your schedule- plus it makes you more marketable. Instead (just a suggestion) look for a contract that guarentees 60 hours per week. That's a straight 20hrs of overtime. That's what I'm looking for. I have noticed the 60/hr weekers are generally only 4 or 8 week assignents, but many will extend.
