Wondering if anyone can reccommend a travel company that offers assignments that are less than 13 wks in duration? I'm looking for something around 8wks, in the St. Louis area, around Sept....but I'm finding that most companies don't offer much in the way of short-short-term traveling. Any tips??

I found a company called NURSECHOICE that only offer short term assignments...4-8weeks. They are a branch off of same bigger companies like NurseRx. They are based out of San Diego and there website is NURSECHOICE.com I will start traveling with them in Fall. Good luck!

A company called HCSS offers contracts as short as 1 day for strike work and does 5 day and longer depending on need. When I called I was informed that the minimum requirement would be 5days but often they have the 1 day opportunities. The number is 1-800-600-1432. I have spoke with Nicole at extension 6964 since like you I am also interested in short contracts.

I am finishing my first assignment with Nurse Choice. They do 4 week assignments - only short term. I have extended this contract twice so I am finishing after 12 weeks. The pay is great and they supply all needs. They do require a minimum of 48 hrs per week - guaranteed though and the paychecks are wonderful!

They put you up in extended stay usually, not too fancy but it is short term and the pay makes up for it. Please call my recruiter for info and if it's OK, give her my name as a referral.
