| ucsf hands down. it's second in the nation tied with harvard. nursing team is composed of all countries. excellent teaching facility. i am there now and have per diem jobs at st mary's very small teaching hospital in haight aahbury district affliated with university of san fran. not ucsf pt census borders on 80 in house. and st francis in the nob hill section close to the tenderloin. busy large hospital doing 12 hour shifts. i would suggest you apply on line for one of these hospitals and get per diem there. per diem nurses here make about 70.00 an hour. and take a travel assignment at another with housing stipend. per diem you only have to work 8 days a month and at ucsf they will cancell you. i have the name of a nurse who you can arrange housing with in the sunset for 350.00 a month plus utilities. trust me there is so much money here to be made you cannot spend it fast enough. but you have to work right. email me privately and i will share with you what i know. maggiedanurse@yahoo.com. |

| one more thing i forgot to mention, if a philapino sounding nurse manager i nterviews you at uc you can pretty much know that the entire floor will be of that culture and you must be able to tolerate the ganging up and lies that they use against people that are not their own. it is not prejudicial it is fact. they are not very friendly and will wave to you while you are drowning. i have seen this everywhere i go and they are in groups larger than one. |

| Hi, I recently registered with supplemental health and recruiter put me in for John George in Alameda county. I am interested in the Bay area of course for the money. I get 23 an hour to work in a rough crisis unit in Tampa Fl. Any better ways to increase my income. Heard John George isnt that great but almost double what I make in Tampa. I have been a psych nurse for 20 yrs. working all areas including prisions . I was at Attica where Chapman is still there. I also have owned my own Assisted living facility and am licensed Administrator. Would be more than happy to share any of my experiances with others. Have worked in New york state.California and Florida. Thanx, Stuart |

| Junior Member | Re: San Francisco Bay Area Hospitals I am gonna be going up SF Bay Area in September and need your advice on how pay is like in the northern CA. Southern CA RNs get a difference of $10 less which does not commensurate with cost of living. I hear good things about John Muir... |
