    It's Official...

Well, I am officially hanging up my traveling boots- I accepted a permanent position, which means no more traveling for me! The position is a full-time nights ER position in Green Bay, WI, at the same ER I worked at before I started traveling. I start the 15th! Yeah!!!

    Hi Amanda,

Congratulations! Now that you're done, how long have you been traveling? I had no idea that you were looking for a permanent position. A traveler who workied a few assignments on my unit returned to accept a permanent position. I suppose living in temporary circumstances would become tiresome after awhile.

About time! In a way, I know you're glad to stop traveling, and the option is always open to travel again.

I was traveling for about 2 and a half years. I've been looking for a permanent position for over 2 months, so I'm excited to have finally found something, especially a job I already know I'll like.

Not all of us are suited for mornings, Soldier. I hate getting up before 7-7:30 am, and prefer anything after 8.

Good for you Amanda. I thought you really liked the traveling.
Anyway, I hope you don't leave this site. You always have such good advice.
    Happy for you......

Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere!

Yes, I prefer nights over days (I don't function well if I have to get up early in the morning).

I did like traveling, but it was getting to be very stressful, and after 2+ years of it, I am ready to settle down, possibly start a family.
