Re-contract with different company

I am planning on going back to a previous assignment but I don't want to use the same company. I have not been happpy with how they have treated me, I could list the problems, but I don't have space in this forum. In my previous contract it states that if I come back to this previous assignment I have to use their company. Can they really enforce this loophole? Another company is offering better pay, benefits, etc.

I would never sign a contract that boxes me in,

K-dog, I have applied at places that state 'No working for other agencies'. I turned and walked away with the app.
