It really depends on where you want to go and what you want to do. Most companies (except the conglomerate biggies) usually have more contracts in one area of the country than another, and have more contacts in that area as well. Some will seem to have more of the 4-8 week contracts, while others stick to the 13-24 week standard. Of course you do not have to limit yourself to one company. I have taken assignments from one and then another and then gone back to the first one. Good Luck.

I can tell you who NOT to go with based on my personal experience....American Mobile Nurses.....every pay check was wrong and my last assignment was cut short due to it being such a nitemare of a hospital that i was sent to. Unfortunately, this is the biggest nurse travel company and they have the monopoly of contracts everywhere.... so if you are willing to deal with that kind of stress so that you can work in the big cities....thats the company that can get you there.... Also, they expect you to share your housing with another traveler....private housing will cost you! I would recommend American Traveler based on personal experience and i heard from a traveler ive worked with that Nurses RX is also a good company...although its a sister company of American Mobile.... Travel nursing is not for the timid...if you arent the assertive type, then i would not recommend doing it as you can really get taken advantage of...i have seen it! Best of luck!!!!

Jackie, doing the same as you. Some of these companies are not very FORTHCOMING with exact info yet when you make the initial inquiries yet when you go their sites, loads of jobs listed! I am attempting to contact an experienced Traveler that has had a positive experiences with their agency. These travel agencies are growing like topsy and I am beginning to be concerned with their track records! Only a travel nurse is going to give us that info. Have you had any feed back? Thanks

again, no nurse recruitment allowed in this forum. Please see forum title: "Travel Nurses Talk Travel Nursing" If you aren't a travel nurse, you're in the wrong forum, ESPECIALLY if you are a nurse recruiter. The forum description specifically states that nurse recruiters not allowed. There are plenty of forums where you may promote your services. Add your contact information and a link to your site in your signature if you wish. Ask your boss to advertise with our network. Post as often as you wish in the nurse recruiters talk to nurses forum or feel free to converse in any of the other forums as long as you are not simply soliciting your services. If you make yourself available on the forum in terms of communication with others, they will get to know you and that might help in their decision making. I look forward to seeing you online (but not editing your posts --Aaron
