Oklahoma travel

I'm new to travel nursing, about to go on my first assignment to Tulsa. The position isn't exactly what I was looking for, but pickings are pretty slim out there right now.

I plan to find my own housing there, does anyone have any advice on where are nice/SAFE/inexpensive parts of town?

Re: Oklahoma travel

What hospital? How close do you want to be? How much are you looking to spend?

Re: Oklahoma travel

I'll be working at Hillcrest Medical Center. Would like to be within 20 minutes of hospital. I will be staying over only when I work and driving back home for days off. Price range $60-85/night. I visited Tulsa last week, and I really need advice on safe areas because I don't think I found the "nice" side of town yet.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Oklahoma travel

Stay around 71st street. Then you'd be able to go up Yale towards Hillcrest or take BA expressway to the exit. 71st street is where restaurant row, Woodland Hills Mall, shopping etc. exists. Problem: increased traffic, but doable. Good Luck.
