I am planning on traveling in the near future and am very interested in signing with Nurse Choice. Does anyone out there have anything good or bad to say about them. Desperately need help on deciding who to go with.

Re: Nurse Choice??? I don't have any information about Nurse Choice but I did do an assignment with Cross Country and recently met an ED nurse who has been traveling with them for quite some time. I had no problems and this guy says he has been very happy with Cross Country for a couple of years.

Re: Nurse Choice??? I can recommend Nurse Choice but I have only worked one assignment with 2 extensions and only one recruiter. The pay is the highest I have seen and they have minimum 48hrs guaranteed/wk. They do 4-8 wk assignments ( I extended to 12wks). They provide everything and have been very professional and accomodating. Please use my name if you call - I would appreciate it - never had a referral bonus! Catherine Beaman - recruiter catherine.beaman@nursechoice.com 800-305-8386 Thanks, Lisa Messa, RN

| Admin aka Shortbus | Re: Nurse Choice??? I have yet to hear a bad thing about Nurse Choice though I haven't heard a whole lot of them. Doing what I do, and talking to as many people as I do about Travel Nursing Companies, this tells me they are Grade A. Most of the time you hear a lot about a company because people complain about them and/or they have an affiliate program of some kind and people are splattering their name everywhere. I'd say go for it. Then let us know how it turns out!

Re: Nurse Choice??? i have known alot of nurse choice nurses here where i work.. i work at Johnson city medical center in tennessee.. they stoped taking nurse choice nurses here because they were having to pay them so much.. but i use to work with 2 nurse choice nurses.. the good and the bad is that nursechoice pays so much.. it is good to get paid alot.. but with the high pay and the very short contracts, they are mostly used in very bad situations... they were using them here on a floor that was shut down and forced to open because of demand and had no nurse manager or anything.. infact they had highered the two nurse choice nurses and pulled other nurses from the floor to cover the floor.. the two nurse choice nurses were the only staff on the schedule for a 20 bed floor.. ick ...it was a bad situation for the girls and i felt bad for them. i ended up helping them alot.. because the foor was alot like a MASH unit.. if it is your first assignment i wouldn't go with them.. because they are put into such high demand... emergency situations.. that usually no one else wanted to work.. but they money is better.. good luck j
