new travel member student nurse

I have one more year to go before I graduate RN school and want to be a travel nurse. What nurse speciality will most likely be in demand for traveling nurses. I am looking to make the highest salary I can. Thank you in advance for your reply

Re: new travel member student nurse

The most highly in demand are ICU, ER, Tele, and Med/Surg. I do three outta the four (everything but ICU). I would suggest ICU or ER for making the most money, but usually for those fields you need additional classwork and some experience in Tele or Med/Surg. But, there isn't too much difference between med/surg/tele and ER/ICU. Don't know if it would be wortht he extra classwork and experience... for those, I would definitely suggest 2 years of experience in a hospital before even thinking about traveling.

Re: Need info sign on bonus

Thank you for your replies to my last question. I have decided to focus upon Med/Surg. Thanks to all you traveling nurses who post on this site so I can learn from you. This is great and I will share this in my nursing class if students do not know about this already.

Last question:

With new sign on bounses/mortgage payments/student loan repayments/new car allowances (to name a few) hospitals are making for recuriting nurses, what are traveling recruiters/companies offering traveling nurses?
