    Smile Hello from AZ

Hello...I recently relocated to AZ from NC and have worked in the VA hospital system for the past 10+ years after total frustration with the 'system' of civilian ER that I realized when the mother couldn't afford diapers and we were providing her with a Rx during middle of night shift.
The VA has been wonderful for my psyche and most recently found the re-location to be super simple --but now am missing the multitude of patients and even miss some traumas and am looking for some part-time perdiem or seasonal work in the Phoenix area. I have always been in the ER and enjoy the umpteen certifications and alphabet soup with my ADN!

Learning to use the computer is a bit of a challenge but this forum will help

Jumped into the case study here before I even introduced and it was super fun...ZEBRAs are always eye-opening! Looking forward to this MYSPACE for nurses!! Thanks

Welcome to the forum! I am glad you enjoy our case presentations. There will be more to come. However, take another look; it is not over yet--this one has a twist. There is definately more fun to come.

Good catch about it being a Zebra though. Most people would see car accident and set their minds on Trauma and never concern themselves with the possibility that a medical etiology led to the crash.

    Hello from NJ,

Are you having much luck finding per diem work? In my neck of the woods, nurses on staff are working as many hours as they can to keep up with bills.

Not a lot of hours left for agency, per diem, etc. Finding I need to travel farther and work shifts I wouldn't normally to get my hours in. Anyone else notice that?

Try Banner health in Phoenix I have worked through their per diem office at Banner Good Sam, they have called me numerous times for their weekend and night ER openings, pay ran around $37 an hour.
