| Manhattan???? Anyone have any good suggestions for ICUs in Manhattan that are decent to work at? I have to go somewhere in May and not sure if I want to try NYC or Seattle. But i am originally from the east coast and want to head back towards home so figure NYC might be fun to try out. I know there are horror stories and ratios are awful, but anyone got a good story of an ICU that is tolerable for 3 months so i can experience living in the city???? |

| Re: Manhattan???? Columbia Presbyterian good hospital, large ICU and it adjoins Cornell. 2 separate hospitals though. Upper East Side, safe, and fun. Easy to get around. ICU nurses only get 2 patients. It's Med Surg nurses that get high patient ratios and taken advantage of.. Just put in your contract 2 patients NOT 3. I worked at Cornell not as a travel nurse but doing research clinical trials. Met great nurses at Presbyterian. Think you might like it there. |
