For the ER: Truman Medical Center West and St Lukes Plaza in Kansas City Missouri both Level III trauma very good facilities. Overland Park Regional is in Overland Park KS also a good facility, although I'm not familiar with their ER. The Kansas City Metro area has many good hospitals. I have heard that Providence Hospital in Kansas is Not good to travelers. KU Medical Center is a great facility in Kansas City Kansas, just on the state line road between KS and MO

Well Good Luck

I work at Providence Hospital in KC Kansas and work with several travelers. I haven't heard any c/o, but that doesn't mean they don't have them. Everyones experience is different. Good Luck.

I worked at Cox South is Springfield, Missouri and it was pretty bad. There staffing ratio was too high 8:1, and it seems there is always a crisis somewhere in the hospital.
I also worked at St John's in Springfiel, Missouri and it was wonderful. Great staff and staffing ratios. The place was clean and very well organized.

I am currently at Overland Park Regional in Kansas. I love it but I work in PACU and they send us home when we finish. I haven't had a 40 hour week yet.
I don't think that would be an issue in ER. Stan Miller

I worked in Sioux Valley Hospital Sioiux Falls, SD last summer. I worked ICU and was treated very well. The staff was truly appreciative that I had come to help them out. I did not have to float and the pay was pretty good also.
