Kaiser Hosp in LA?

I'm thinking about interviewing for a Kaiser Hosp ICU position in LA...Wonder if anyone has worked there/has any information what it's like, conditions/floating etc. Thanks!

Are you talking about Kaiser Sunset in Los Angeles? Although I'm sure some Kaiser nurses are happy I've never met one and Kaiser Sunset is a dump with a reputation for treating travel nurses terribly. Look before you leap on that one.

I did Clinicals there in nursing school. The hospital is huge and old and dumpy, the nurses are angry and while I was there a physical therapist was doing ROM exercises on a dead person for 10 minutes before they called the code.

Hi,

I am a Tele RN and My recruiter is getting me a ER holding area travel RN at Kaiser Sunset. I have never worked in ER before and I heard that the ER manager is hiring non ER exp nurses for that position.

Just fishy!! I have heard bad reviews on that particular kaiser. does any one have any suggestions.

I want to do travel RN in Orange county area but this is the only one available (may be due to economy?)

For Orange County - I would try Saddleback or Hoage Hospital - Both are good facilities - The rents are very very high in that area though.
