Job for travel nurse's spouse?? My fience' is an ICU RN and is planning on traveling soon. He wants me to be able to go with him on assignments (and so do I) but we can't figure out what job I could have while doing that. I have a degree in business/marketing and about 8 years in customer service. Does anybody have any suggestions on a travel job for me?? Thanks!

Re: Job for travel nurse's spouse?? I'm replying because I'm actually in a very similar situation. I will graduate in December with a BBA in marketing and management, and my boyfriend is an ICU RN. He is interested in doing travel nursing after I graduate, and I'm just like you with no idea as to what kind of job I could get for a short period of time with my degree. I also am working on getting my real estate license, but I don't know how much that will help me in the short term job market. Hopefully we can keep each other updated if we hear of good employment opportunities for this type of situation!

My wife travels with me and has worked as a CNA, Psych Tech, Case Manager and online language instructor. With your background why not work as a home based Travel Nursing recruiter. You experience the life of a Traveler so you would know what we go through. There are many companies that use home based recruiters. Another option is start a Travel Nurse Company with him as your only Traveler and find and negotiate assignments for him. This is how alot of Independent Contractors operate. Here is more info on Independent Contracting. Or (Just brain storming) be a Travel Agent or start a Travel Agent business and use your knowledge to find amazing Travel Packages to go to between assignments. Saw a story on MSN talking about this and warning against certain companies and reccomending other established organizations. I've got the link somewhere. If interested PM me and I'll dig it up. Create an ebay store and drop ship and market items that some small company makes but has been unsuccessful in marketing. I could go on and on with your background and Internet there numerous opportunities but just as many scams. CJ www.TravelNurseToolbox.com
