Hiring new graduate RN\'s

Hi ... does anyone know if there are travel agencies that hire new RN's ...I am an LPN for 28 years working in a hospital setting and will graduate as an ADN in spring of 2005 ...any info would be appreciated ...thank-you, Veda

Your years being an LPN are invaluable. Unfortunately, being an RN is different.. I was an LPN for 17 years myself. Glad I was an LPN certainly. Most travel companies require 1 year of experience in a speciality as an RN.. Some hospitals are now requiring 2 years.. They want someone who requires very little or NO orientation..

Hello Veda,

When you become an RN it restarts the clock as far as experience goes. Try to find a job close to home where you can learn and polish your skills, then in a year or two you can start traveling and the sky's the limit.
