Hi I'm new!

Hi all, I'm new to these forums, and thinking about moving in the travel nursing field. Anyone have any advice for a newbie?

I say jump on in. Travel nursing is the best thing I ever did. Just do your homework and choose your travel company carefully. As many other forum friends will tell you, check out the Travel Nursing Reviews at ultimatenurse.com to get started. Good Luck!!!

I am interested in traveling too, but not sure about the best way to "jump in" and get started. I posted my resume and desired position on a website for nurses who are seeking travel as well as permanent positions. I have been overwhelmed by the number of phone calls and emails I have recieved. How do you decide? I have never traveled as an RN. Was it like this when you started out? How did you deal with the recruiters? How did you take that "first step"? Can you recommend any companies that are the best for first timers who may need more hand holding to walk them through the process?
Thanks

Re: Hi I'm new!

Make you a list of what you want in a travel company and what you expect in a travel career then do your research online.

Go to Amazon.com or BN.com and look for books on travel nursing. There is also a few magazines and eZine's out there on travel nursing.
