Hey, thinking about taking an assignment at Henry Mayo in Valencia, CA. Just wondering if any one has worked there or heard anything about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yes i have worked there from time to time....small hospital.....nice people....doctors are same everywhere....cafe kind of expensive....beautiful area.....i would say it is a nice place to work.....about 5pt to 1 nurse....or 10 patients to RN-LVN team......mostly 5 to 1....overall.....u would like assignment.

RNMegan, where are you from? I am in Tehachapi (about 1 1/2 hrs. from HMNMH. That is the area I grew up in. My son was born there and long before my career change into nursing, I was a lab asst. there at Henry Mayo.

You will like the area. You can find housing just about anywhere and there are very few bad places (downtown Newhall, across the railroad tracks, stay away) otherwise. Lots of shopping, ocean is about and hour from there (Ventura). I don't know about working as an RN, haven't heard anything good or bad.
