Hello.

I'm Samantha. I'm 20 years old. I'm from Alaska, and as the title implies, I am a preggopotomous. At least that's what my husband calls it!

I have a almost-two-year-old daughter, and am expecting a baby boy on Mother's day of 2009. I am VERY excited for the new addition, and I cannot wait to meet him!

I've been married for two years as of this April, and I couldn't be loving the married life any more than I already do!

I am currently pursuing an Associate's of Arts transfer degree, in order to be admitted to the A.A.S. Nursing program at the community college here. There's really only one college here, so I have to go about getting into the nursing program in a less-than-typical way.

After I complete the A.A.S program, I plan on doing the BSN bridge program. And from there? I will decide whether or not to go to midwifery school to become a CNM, or a medical school to become an OB. I really don't know.

But hey, I have all A's right now! And having a toddler, being pregnant, and taking 15 credits, that's not easy to do!

Welcome to the site, Samantha! It's nice to know you've done so well thus far.

I would say go on for the midwife course. Another one of our members, Cassioo, is an OB nurse, so you two will have lots to talk about. She often pops in the Daily Thread, so I hope you join us there when you can.

Of course, look around the other Forums, and post when you are able. We do have a Student Forum.... When do you graduate?

Welcome, Samantha! Your son may just end up like me....an early Mother's day present. I showed up 2 days before....AND Mother's Day fell on the 10th that year, too.

I hope to see you often, also. I agree the midwife bit sounds like a good idea, also.

I'm really not sure what I'll do. I just decided that I will play it by ear, and make the final decision close to when I will be finishing my BSN. Not much else to do. I just don't know if I'd rather be a doctor or a midwife.
