Guaranteed Hours???

I am curious about travel nursing and different companies. I have been looking into different agencies and trying to decide which one to go with. However, one company told me that it is up to the facility/hospital to guarantee my hours but most do not do that.
Am I wrong for wanting my 36 hrs/week guaranteed? Are any of you finding that your company does not guarantee your hrs? If you could reply and let me know what companies DO guarantee your hrs, I would be eternally grateful!
Right now, I am leaning towards...

Travel Nurse Across America
RN network
Nurses in Partnership
NovaPro
American Mobile
Fastaff

As you can see...I really need to narrow it down.

Re: Guaranteed Hours???

I travel with RN Network, and if my contract says 36 hours a week, it is guaranteed. PM me if you'd like my recruiter's info.

Cool Re: Guaranteed Hours???

I have worked for Cirrus, Aureus and am currently with TNS. My hours have always been guaranteed. Whatever you sign up for with your contract is what you will work. You even will have to make up hours if you miss any. No worries.

Re: Guaranteed Hours???

Guaranteed hours or not depends on the contract the travel company has with the specific facility. I have worked for the same company with guaranteed hours at one facility and at another facility could be cancelled once every two-week period. The company can tell you up front if the hospital will guarantee per their contract. Just make sure it states it on yours.

Re: Guaranteed Hours???

I have had 48 hr guaranteed on each of my past 3 assignments, never been cancelled. Doesn't always make my buddies in the ICU very happy, but I try not to talk about it too much, unless they push it...then I give them my recruiter's name Got two people to sign up with me!!

Re: Guaranteed Hours???

In my experience guaranteed hours are industry standard. If you are looking at a company that does not offer this, then you might want to consider one that does. If you are absolutely set on an assignment then you might go with it, otherwise keep looking.

All of my assignments have been guaranteed - I would not consider a contract without it.

Good Luck
