Re: GOOD TRAVEL NURSE COMPANY

At Trustaff our nurses have the option of two pay plans. The higher of the two rates is the tax advantage plan. On that rate the nurse pays all of their expenses. We actually set everything up for the nurse, if that is what they want, and then deduct the money from their pay. The nurses are fully aware of the deductions, seeing their itemized deductions on their weekly direct deposit. This pay plan allows nurses who want to save money do things like stay with family or friends, staying in their RV's, or staying in a tent if they want to. In theses instances there are no deductions so the nurse keeps the extra money.
The lower of the pay rates is the all inclusive, which is the industry standard, where we the company, sets up and pays for eveerything, then offering the nurse the lower hourly pay.
The nurse chooses which pay plan they want. For more info contact us or post here again,

Re: GOOD TRAVEL NURSE COMPANY

I have posted again wanderingrn, and I hope this explains the rates more clearly. I don't understand why you post some of the things you do. We never tried to associate our name with yours or have your endorsement. I have apologized repeatedly to you about your past qualms with our company. Your posts are wrong. I am not misleading any one. I posted that those rates are on the tax advantage plan. I figured that an experienced nurse like yourself understood what that plan was. I don't want to deceive anyone. Our nurses are all the endorsement our company needs. To all newbies I do apologize that I did not explain the Tax Advantage and All Inclusive Plans. I have posted again explaining this more.

Re: GOOD TRAVEL NURSE COMPANY

Omisssion is still a falsehood.. What you haven't "explained" is that the nurse needs a tax home . And the excess over what is spent is taxable..

I hope you didn't forget that.. Yes, I am not your pal. Never will be. But I do try to be a pal to my fellow nurses no matter what type of nursing they do or where they do it..

You of course are aware that many companies have been audited for these practices and that nurses have borne the brunt of those audits.

And were you gonna tell us that by taking less money the nurse gets less contributed to SS, disability..

And how do you calculate OT? ON all the money or the little bit the nurse ends up with..

And doesn't this so called tax advantage plan put more money in your pocket? You don't have to pay your part to FICA on those wages?

Awaiting your "explainations".. See there is not free lunch..Not for the nurse and not for you either.

Re: GOOD TRAVEL NURSE COMPANY

Again Wandering, no one is calling you my pal, and I did not leave anything out. The tax advantage plan you can debate all day long and I couldn't tell you one way or the other. That is why I continue to tell you that we offer the all inclusive plan as well, where the tax home does not affect what we pay for. And no we do not make more money by using the tax advantage plan. In fact it is much easier for companies to keep nurse's money on the all inclusive. If the nurse gets 1400$ a week for housing and food but the company only spends 1000$ a week on the housing and travel for the nurse who do you think keeps the money. On the tax advantage the nurse sees and can control every deduction. You are right about the SS issues in part. For an older nurse the tax advantage would not be beneficial because they wouldn't put enough into SS, you are correct. But for a 30 year old nurse it may be more beneficial to make the extra money for a few assignments. Even if a nurse takes one assignment on the tax advantage plan they can switch to the all inclusive next time. You seem to believe that I am saying the tax advantage plan is the only way to go, I never have said that, nor do I believe that. I hope this "explanation" will make you see one thing, I am not the creator of Tax Advantage, and neither is our company, some nurses love the plan and so we offer it along with the time tested all inclusive pay plan. I do think your posts are good for nurse, I am not telling you to stop that, only asking that your criticisms of my post would be more constructive. I continually try to learn more and I am sure you can tell I am sort of new at this. You seem to be well versed in the world of travel nursing and could help me with more constructive criticisms. Thanks Steve Schlegel

Re: GOOD TRAVEL NURSE COMPANY

WanderingRN I assure you that I am not challenging your knowledge of the Tax Advantage. The 1200 included the money for housing, travel and m&i. On the tax advantage plan the nurse does keep the extra from what is not used on housing, travel and m&i. I apologize if I stated that incorrectly.
