Does anyone know about All About Staffing? I just started my 1st assignment with AMN. I have been happy with everything except the pay. During orientation today I talked to 2 other travellers and they are with All About Staffing. They are making $10 more an hour than I am!!!!! Needless to say I am not happy with AMN. They really seem to enjoy the company. The website does not say much. Any one here know about them. Oh one more thing. I tried to look them up here and they are not listed. One thing that I noticed was all the negatives regarding other companies. Don't we have anything nice to say about the companies we work for. I plan to say something about AMN but I want to wait until I have been with them a while. Thanks in advance, Amy

Re: Does anyone know about All About Staffing? AAS is a branch of HCA, and staffs their hospitals. You are probably making less because your company subcontracted from AAS. I work local agency shifts in KC for AAS and they have treated me fine.

Re: Does anyone know about All About Staffing? Cutey, If you travel with American Mobile, in probably every contract you are going to find that you earn less than nurses who travel with just about any other company. AM is well known for low-balling travel pay and if you want to make more money then you need to be calling a few other agencies for your next assignment. What Gigi wrote is true. All About Staffing is owned by HCA and all the travel contracts for the HCA hospitals goes through them. If you want to work at an HCA facility then apply with All About. Some travelers don't like AAS or HCA but I have worked for them in the past, and I don't think they are any worse than any other travel company out there, and some of their positions pay quite well.

| All About Staffing is HCA's Own Travel Company and Vendor Manager of other Travel Companies that subcontract through them. They Staff for Hospitals in the HCA Network. Alot of companies subcontract through them because they have to and All About Staffing needs other Travel Companies as well because they can't fill all then Travel Positions and frankly many Travelers do not want to deal with them. I can't speak about their pay packages but I believe if you sign with them directly you have to stay with them for a year to work as a Traveler in a HCA facility and you can not work through one of the many subcontracting companies. AAS needs these companies to place people so I don't hthink they subcontract out jobs to make a profit but merely to find people. I think they hurt themselves with the one year policy instead of trying to be more flexible and competitive to win over Travelers. Alot of hospitals start there own Travel Division or something close but they can't break free of the HR mentality and it hurts them in the long run. You would think that you would get a better deal going directly with the hospital but the reality is alot of times you do better having a Travel Company as your agent. Some hospitals are learning this and are trying to be more competitive. I think the first step is for them to seperate their HR dept from their Travel Staffing department completely with different locations and people of different backgrounds and run by 2 different chiefs. | Re: Does anyone know about All About Staffing? Hello, I currently work for All About Staffing in Hudson, FL. It is true they only staff HCA hospitals. I picked up about $4 per hr from my previous travel assignment in New Port Richey, FL. The recruiter I use is a bit of a doof, but I have done this for awhile and know some of the basic rules. 1. You are in charge of negotiations. If you want something, just ask. 2. Always keep some savings and be prepared to walk if the assignment is bad. They won't let you, but it helps solve problems. Remember the motto "I'm just here to help you, but if you want me to leave you will never see me again." 3. Staffing desparation drives all negotiations. The recruiter and travel company have little to do with it. I recently bumped up my guaranteed hrs from 36 to 40 with the above motto. That's an extra $100 per week. 4. Travel nursing success relies solely on you flexibility, confidence, and ability to read the staff. Find a couple of people who are natural "helpers" and grab as much as you can from them. 5. Your assignment has little to do with your company or recruiter. I talk to mine about once every 13 weeks. Make a lot of money and stay out of their problems. |

Re: Does anyone know about All About Staffing? AAS does pay more, but they do not offer benefits. At least that is what the recruiter in FL told me. I tend to stay away from HCA facilities too many politics with them. No matter how much you try and stay neutral sometimes it's impossible with the drama they create. FYI....AM Mobile has always been one of the lowest paying out there! But, they are interconnected with several other companies, and if they have a place you want to go, you can contact one of their partner Co, and tell them that AM has the posting, and take it with the higher paying CO. Just don't let AM send your profile! I've been traveling since '99, there are so many in's and out's it's not funny! I've been lied to about housing, facilities, bonuses etc...I've heard it all. EVERYTHING goes in writing, on my contract! No stone left uncovered. Higher paying is RN Network, excellent all around! Elite Med Staffing is great, my 2 favorites! X- Country used to be great yrs ago. BUT.....That is a thing of the past! I;ve been told they post jobs that aren't actually open to lure new ppl in, their rates are lower than others (they are tied in with RN Network so you can find a job through them then take it to RN Network) These 2 pay weekly, have great benefits and the housing is awesome! Mostly it depends where you want to go, what you are looking for. I first assist mostly so my areas are limited unless I take a contract as the CST. Which is cool too!
