Daytona Beach?

I'm moving my Mom to DAB and want to get a contract there to get her settled. I'm going to be new to travel nursing so advice re: recruiters for the area would be good. I looked at Halifax Med Center website out of curiosity and there were no jobs posted for Tele or Stepdown which seems unlikely. Anyone know what travel co. they use, or do recuriters look where you want to go? Mom will be in Port Orange so it would be nice to be somewhere close for the duration. I've already applied for my license online.

Hmmmm.....The last time I looked at a map, Daytona Beach was in Florida, NOT California!!!!

Daytona Beach seemed so obvious I didn't even add FL and I live in WA... maybe there is another, but I've never heard of it!! Also aren't recruiters not supposed to be in this section?? Thanks for the smile ancellcr!

I have a friend who was just in Ormond Beach (Daytona hosp isn't what I'd call much hosp) He wasn't happy there...it's part of the FL hospital system. I don't know if it was the hospital but he didnt'have the best housing and has since moved on to Tampa General and just signed his 2nd contract there. Daytona itself is my least favorite area.

Anywhere in FL isn't my top choice and I lived in Daytona for 5 yrs so not exactly looking forward to it, but at least it will be familiar and I have to get Mom organized. So... I'm actually thinking about taking a staff position for a few months cause none of the job searches on travel websites have come up with anything even close to DAB.... sigh! Sure would like that travel $$
