Re: Cross Country Travel Corps I am looking to start traveling in approx a year. I appreciate the input that you have given. I was planning on beginning with CCTC, but after reading some of the comments posted, I will be reconsidering this idea. I understand that the recruiter plays a large roll in the travel experience. How do you get a good recruiter? Is there an interview process? or is it just trial and error?

Re: Cross Country Travel Corps I've traveled for several years. I have always received private, luxury, paid, fully furnished apts, and houses, w/ housewares, linens, utils, TV, microwave, cable and phone included. My pay has been the same or more than other travelers I've worked with. The reason CCTC and American Mobile get away with treating nurses the way they do is because so many nurses are willing to take what they offer.

Re: Cross Country Travel Corps IMHO CCTC pay is lower than others, GreatWest insurance (cost high/coverage low). Pay isn't everything, but it sure does help when you are doing a difficult assignment. I have found better companies with better pay and benefits; however sometimes you have to forgo the money for the adventure. My recruiter has always been honest and responsive, even if the results/answers weren't nice to hear. Housing is okay, just make sure you have it in writing or they will give you lower pay and housing package. I would travel with CCTC again in the future if they had the assignment I was interested in taking.
