| California pay I'm currently working in Phoenix,AZ and am looking into getting an assignment in California- either the San Diego or Los Angeles area. Can anyone tell me about the pay rates there and what hospitals to stay away from? Thanks! |

| Re: California pay I am currently researching travel positions in Ca also. So far I have $38/hr with housing, $100 utility allowance, $500 travel allowance. but they want me to start by Nov 15 and I am unable to start until Jan. |

|  Re: California pay Game on!! To be totally honest I hate this part of the travel job. You really need to contact a diverse number of employers because they will promise you the moon and then when it comes to the actual contract suddenly have amnesia. Look up Emerald Health Care based in Santa Monica, CA. Great pay, good stipend, just get your own housing. Look up Medical Express. Again good pay. Good company. Just be sure to work "outside the box". I have found that the glossier the PR pack they send you....the more money they pay for PR in the big nursing journals...the LESS money comes to you.
