| Azteria Has anyone traveled with or heard anything about Azteria.com. I called them and they have only been in business since 2004!! I seriously considered them, because they seem to pay really well. I got nervous because I've never heard of them or anything about them. So, if anyone has any information I would love to hear it!! Thanks, Linda |

When I did local temp/agency nursing I went with a new company and it just didn't seem like they were too organized. It sucks when your paycheck is late or stuff like that b/c they just don't have all the kinks worked out yet. Keep us informed. |

| Re: Azteria I am with Cross Country. Not really happy with them. I travelled with TravCorps before the merge. That's why I chose them again. I have recruiters who job share. They have an associate who is clueless about nursing, traveling, etc, and it seems like she's the one I deal with the most. I get so frustrated just trying to talk to her. She has called and asked me to fax things that I had faxed to them weeks ago. I called when they were faxed and was told they recieved everything. She's called every other day requesting the things they have already. My first paycheck is due Friday, we'll see what happens. They are charging me $700 month to have a 2 bedroom apt. I didn't even get the second bedroom furnished! I'm a NICU nurse and they are paying $25 an hour. By the time they take their share, I won't get much. My contract is up in Dec and I hope to switch agencies and stay in the Denver area. I need to be here at least until next summer. I usually travel with a smaller company that I love, but they didn't have contracts in this area. They are going to try to get some contracts by Dec. It seems the agency's have to be invited to get contracts around here and the invitations only go out once a year, in Oct!! I do like the hospital I'm at and the staff here is wonderful. Thanks for the replies. |

| Re: Azteria I think you have to research each company. I have been with three large companies and two small companies. I will stick with the smaller companies. I had worked with TaleMed for my assignment this summer. They couldn't find anything for me in NC so I went with another agency. My son-in-law was killed in Iraq so I was off for my daughter. When I told the agency I needed to be off for Christmas to be there for my daughter and granddaughter, the hospital cancelled my contract. My recruiter from TaleMed called to find out how we were doing when I told him I no longer had a job. I told him where I wanted to work, he made a phone call, I interviewed and received a job in one day. Sometimes it pays to work with smaller companies as I know this would not have happened with any of the larger agencies because there are too many people they have to go through to get things done. |
